AUGUST 2026 / UGANDA / WHEELCHAIR

Thanks to a donation from the Jawiba Foundation for a new wheelchair, this woman is mobile again and can travel longer distances, something she hasn’t been able to do for the past six months. Her old, locally made wheelchair, which she had used for 15 years, had worn out. Her first reaction: ‘I’ve gotten a helicopter, now I can move by myself’.

JUNE 2026 / UGANDA / VALLEY DAM PROJECT UPDATE

The valley dam ended up being a little smaller than originally planned, but it was dug deeper. The excavation work attracted a lot of attention from local residents. Now we're waiting for the rains to come. Once it fills up, the water shortage for the surrounding villages will be solved.

MAY 2026 / UGANDA / NEW PROJECT: VALLEY DAM

Near Nabiseke, we want to build a large valley dam measuring 200 by 200 meters. Right now, the water collected during the rainy season is used by the entire village, but the current capacity isn’t enough. With a larger valley dam, we’ll be able to supply not only the current village with water, but also other nearby villages in the future through a pipeline system.

The fourth water tank is almost ready!

Thanks in part to our support with the teachers’ salaries, the school in Kidokolo has become a real success. Right now, the school has 324 students! A big thank you to the teachers and school principal Moses for their dedication and hard work.

Great news: the deep-water well is ready to use! The community is incredibly happy and grateful for this new water source.

After a bit of a delay, they’re finishing up the last bits of work. Once everything’s installed properly and the cement has dried, the pump can start being used. The community is looking forward to it
